Ethan shuffled down the many flights of stairs from his dorm room and entered the kitchen just in time to let out a yawn. He was tired, never really having been a morning person, and didn't immediately notice the other person in the room. He had two cups in his hands, the cheap plastic one issued to him at the beginning of the year and his favorite mug his mum had sent him from home, and he set them both on the table.

As he filled the mug with the slow trickle of water from his nonverbal Aguamenti, he noticed the girl seeming to do her own Divination homework. "Hey, Min.." He gave his girlfriend a sleepy smile then ran his wand along the rim of the cup. "Chaudensis!" As the water heated up, he tossed a few of the nasty, school-issued tea leaves inside to let it steep. "Looks like I'll be waking up to tea instead of my espresso," he said with a sigh. Then he chuckled. "Just kidding.. I'll make both."

While his tea steeped, he brewed his espresso with his favorite grounds sent from home. Trying to clear his sleepy mind, he took a sip of his coffee, then set about drinking the nasty tea, holding his nose to mask the taste. He took a few sips of espresso in between drinking the tea until it was nearly gone. He swirled the remaining liquid around in his mug a few times, then dumped it out on the small plate he was using as a saucer, letting it sit there for a minute.

His tired mind hadn't been able to bring much into focus other than maybe going back to bed.. though that did make him think of the classes he needed to go to and the NEWTs he needed to prepare for. Hmm.. maybe his mind did give him a focus. "Were you doing your reading, too?" he looked up and asked as he lifted his cup and peered at the shapes inside.
