Staring at his shoes, Zeke listened intently to what Gwen had to say. Inside he was kind of shocked, but his face showed no emotion. To put it blatantly, the seventh year seemed unfathomable as of the moment.

Finally, after what seemed an entire moment of awkwardness, he nodded. Yep. He was there...waiting for what seemed like an eternity. Once he got back to the castle, bursting in front of the Ravenclaw Common Room to demand what she wanted from him, ditching her like that, Zeke decided it was best to just let it go. 'If it was meant to be, it was meant to be. If it's not, it's not.' That, he repeated in his head again and again until he was sick of his own thoughts. She didn't come, that seemed like an easy enough message to decipher.

Just when he's made up his mind to never see her again, stupid as he was, he still suggested that they talk things out. And apparently, "sorry" wasn't gonna get anywhere. He got the message, so she doesn't want him in her life, end of discussion. Somewhere between that Hogsmeade weekend and today, Zeke had owled Evie, and she owled him back. They've patched things up. Their roller coaster kind of relationship was back on track and once the ride begins....there's no going back.

The statuesque Zeke spoke, "Let's end this." Three words. "Whatever this is." And three more words. That's what it took. Getting to a more private place didn't seem to matter to him now anymore. He wanted to get this over with. As soon as possible.

Now.
No reaction from Zeke. Not a word. Nothing. Gwen just stared at her shoes for a moment, trying to think about what she should say. But she had said everything she wanted to tell him anyway. But still... it seemed that something was missing. In attempt to figure out what to say, the seventh year looked back at those amazing blue eyes, which actually only managed to confuse her even more.

So she drew her attention towards the courtyard, eyeing some of the columns. It was getting quite cold, so maybe it would have been a better idea to go inside and talk but well... the discussion seemed to be over, since Zeke was not going to reply anything.

Though, in the next moment, she heard the Gryffindor say something. Whatever this is?! Whatever?’, she said, trying to sound neutral, but she failed terribly because of her trembling voice. Just trying to keep being distant was not working. Ughhh. She wasn’t used to this. She generally didn’t really care about other people. But Zeke. That was a whole different story. Apparently, he was the person she actually CARED about. And now this... this was just awful.

Never mind how everyone kept saying how great it is to care about someone and be in love. Well. Newsflash: it was AWFUL. So... ‘If that’s what you want...’, she finally said with a sigh, biting her lip and not looking at him right now. Because she knew she would be just broken if she did. Ughhh. Pathetic, Greene. This is just pathetic, she thought.

Eventually, Gwendolyn looked back at him. ‘So you didn’t actually mean what you said at the lake’ Just deciding to end this wouldn’t have been this easy. Which meant that she was just foolish.
