And the blush on her cheeks, this made him smile wider. Rubbing his thumb across the back of her hand... and then... she had to bring him up.

Garrick's face instantly fell and his shoulders slumped. "Yes. I knew that. I was asked not to attend the quidditch match." Pretty much anyway. And he was sorely upset with Benjy at the moment. The pain flicked across his face and he shook his head to himself mostly. "Benjy and I had something of a row earlier." And that was all he was willing to say at the moment. He averted his eyes and gripped her hand a little tighter as he willed the tears not to spring to his eyes again.

Now that Garrick was smiling, Lottie simply wanted him to smile for forever. And her own smile widened too at their hands being held by each other. But that wouldn't last long, would it?

It wasn't like Lottie knew something had happened, yeah? And...she wanted to see his smile again. Hang on. "You were asked not to attend?" Her eyebrows were raised, both, yes, because that was sort of ridiculous, wasn't it? She wanted to ask WHO had asked him, but the answer would be...Benjy? Why would his cousin--Never mind, it's family stuff, and we don't discuss that.

"I'm sorry you couldn't be there." It was a pretty awesome match, and Airey played brilliantly.

Suddenly, she felt like she was too far away from him. And things weren't too great with Benjy? Well, that sucks. She didn't wait too long before taking her hand back only to be able to take a seat next to him. She even moved the chair and everything, so Garrick better not complain about not holding her hand for a few seconds, okay? Okay. Granted, once she was sitting, her hand took his again, and held it tightly. "Winter is coming," she had no idea why she even said that, but she rested her head on his shoulder right after.

Yeah, winter was coming, so was Christmas, and he'd probably stay there instead of returning, right? That's why she mentioned it.
