Post #3 That's Rough Buddy | Be the Flower | Moon & Stars
While people passed her area, Peyton was hard at work devising an idea that had popped into her head right after her first customer. She doubted the whole lot would be just as paranoid as that one guy, so she had to switch her strategy.
Peyton thought about something else her dad had told her. Something about making the customer think they were getting a great deal and beating the system. But not really.
In a jar there were six bright, red eggs and now she just needed to look for that one sucker customer that would fall for her plan. And it happened. A woman with very long hair was eyeing her booth curiously. Peyton had the urge to stare right back, but instead she grinned her ever so sweet grin. "Hi," Peyton greeted. "I'm selling these eggs to help our school. Would you care to help?" The woman approached Peyton, eyeing the eggs carefully. She didn't seem genuinely interested in the eggs, but she wore an expression of slight interest. Maybe to help the school or not to be seen as uncaring, it could be either one. "How much are you selling these for?" the woman asked.
Peyton grinned wider. She had the woman. She'd use the guilt trip if she had to. "Well, they're going for a Galleon each." The woman shook her head, then Peyton added: "But since you were nice enough to drop by I'll give them to you for five and you get yourself a free egg." The girl pushed the jar bit by bit toward the woman. She could see her giving in. "You'd be doing us a great favor, the students I mean." INNOCENT SMILE. INNOCENT. And the woman caved. "Since it's going toward a good cause I suppose so." She dug into her pocket and took out the Galleons and handed them to Peyton. "And since I'm getting a deal too." She took the jar and with a nod parted ways. "Thank you!" Peyton did a silent cackle after the woman left, and dropped Galleon by Galleon into her purse. Two jars sold. Eeeeeeep!
