The dampness from her kiss lingered on his cheek and he succumbed to a cheesy smile. "I missed you, too." Gosh, did she have to make this so difficult? The entry, the dress, the... everything?! He'd been so back and forth about ending it or not ending it, and then he finally concluded it was best to end it, and now Tori walks in, and in a matter of seconds - no, MILLIseconds - he was already second-guessing himself. He knew it would happen.
Paulie felt his hands getting kinda clammy, so he slipped them under his thighs. "Did ya dye your hair? It looks nice." It looked much better than just nice, but nice was all he managed to say.
He looked at her for a few moments, probably creepy-long if he hadn't been her boyfriend, then abruptly directed his eyes down at his menu with a creased forehead that gave him the semblance that he was studying the items quite hard, when really, they were all just a blur.
"Uh, what do ya want to eat?"
He'd already lost his appetite. Awww, he had a smile for her. Tori simply beamed back at him, radiating sunshine and daisies and happiness and all the good feelings she had for her boyfriend, nothing more. He was kind of eying her up, wasn't he? Heh. She didn't mind.
"I DID, I got some highlights," the now strawberry-blonde more strawberry than blonde though answered, flicking a bit of her hair over one shoulder proudly. "Thanks!" She was glad he'd noticed. Like boyfriends were supposed to.
Anyway, Tori had to finally glance down at the menu when he asked what she wanted. Oooh, the cheesecake sounded good... bit heavy for an afternoon snack though... "A banana split!" Tori declared as she read the item off the menu. She tapped its spot on the list with her manicured nails and looked up at him brightly. "Yes, that sounds perfect. Mm. Maybe we could split a split."
Heh, see, punny? Punny hunny? Was Paulie doing okay? He looked kind of... sickly. Maybe he should get his own split, if he was germy.
