Susan was surprised to find out she was brown before she was pink, the maid did a very good job. Though Susan was a little saddened by the fact that Sonea demanded one of her maids to do it for her. Susan had maids at home but she always asked politely whenever she wanted something. Her mother told her they were a part of the family and should be treated as such. "Yes, she does look very pretty pink. Could you change her color if you wanted to?"

Susan felt bad for Sonea when she said that Little Princess was sick. Susan couldn't imagine if her owl "Spells" ever got sick, she would be worried all the time. Something about the way Sonea was describing how she was sick seemed a little off. "I'm sorry she is sick, I wont pet her incase she doesn't like it. I don't want to make her feel worse." Susan didn't think Sonea would appreciate some random girl hurting her rat, even if it was an accident. "Has she been around any other rats lately?" Sue had an idea about why the rat was getting fatter but she needed more facts before she told Sonea.
