The parchment had only half been filled when she left her Common Room, but only because she was going to get it finished out here, which she was doing now--OH HEY A FIRSTIE! Lex looked over at the girl that was getting closer with each step she took. "HAI!" She practically shouted, waving at her. Company was always good for Giant Squid watching.

There was no confusion as to who the Gryffindor girl was yelling at. Yup, it was definitely Tora she was yelling at. Perfect though, since the first year was getting tired of walking and being alone. Or of walking in general.
"Heya!" She shouted back, also waving frantically. Then she thought of her earlier predicament with deciding whether or not the water was safe. The older student should know! "Oh, do you know if it's safe to walk in the water and all? You know, with the grindylows?" She asked running over to where the girl was sitting and plopping herself down next to her. She decided that she was going to take the enthusiastic 'HAI' as an invitation to sit, since she really didn't feel like standing anymore.
