Jake stared slightly in awe at Airey. He didn't even notice the new girl until she spoke up. Singing party. Cool. The Gryffindor stood still as Flamsteed ditched him, and watched as just another person joined their little group. Were they all going to sing?
Keeping his voice to himself for the time being, Jake rejoined Airey at the counter, where the professor was cutting a banana. His eyes brightened at the sight. "BANANA SPLITS!" Because why else would you want to cut a banana like that? Nobody in their right minds ate bananas like that unless there was ice cream involved. This... called for music.
...Did he need to rhyme like Oakey? Becase... the only thing that he could think of to rhyme with "splits" was "zits." And that wasn't appetizing at all.
Tearing off another banana from the bunch Jake peeled it and set it next to Airey's, all the while singing his not-rhyming song. "Baaaanaaanaaassss. They are almost as good as strawberries but not quiiiiite. But I think we're going to maaake a baaanana spliiiiit so that's greeeat."
