She may get more attention from her aunt than her brother gets, but how could she know? WAIT, what? "You suggested what??" Well, yeah, good thing Benjamin said no.
YES, it's because of the chocolate frog and what it reminds us of. "I did!" she said, totally beaming. Hmmmm, "Well, chocolate is like your thing...," she started to say, "...and I think raspberries are my favorite...," out of everything she could eat, "...though, if we're not successful this year, I suggest we move on onto a different combination of things," they could even ask Oakey stuff, since he knew how to make smoothies and whatnot.
THEN Lottie laughed. "So, yeah, you wouldn't have noticed. Merlin forbid someone takes the attention away from a cookie." Could someone actually do that Lex? Without falling? Hmmmmmmmm? "For how long?" They could ask the Charms Professor about it, though. The people who made chocolate frogs were super skilled, so the charm would probably last a while. "There'll be lots of people, maybe someone else will distract her for you." TRUE.
Lottie was about to offer some aid in bringing the news to Alice, when the compartment door was opened. And the one opening it was not one she'd expect. Almost. She thought it'd been Aidan, and hoped to dear Merlin that it hadn't been Alice. "Garrick!" She blushed.
Her eyes were on him, since his eyes were on her. And...she stood up at once. Mags instantly jumped into her bag at the sight of yet another cat. She needed to get another pet, or a more frightening one. That tarantula was sounding pretty awesome right about now. "I...," her eyes went to Lex, and Felix, they were the ones who get to decide, actually. Surely, her eyes said enough and she didn't have to tell Lex this. "I believe you know Lex." She gestured to her best friend, and focused on Garrick next. "Is it yours?" The cat, because she didn't know he had one. Quote:

And as she'd found out that cousin was Garrick. Goooo figure.
Oh! Oh! Oh! Lottie logic. "That's true, so it makes sense that we'd both like it and if you think about it, we get along wonderfully so anything we like should too." GRINS. Except apparently...Mags and Felix but you know, Lex was willing to bet they could be friends...er...just not any time soon.
Yeah...
Hehe. "Right? Chocolate chip cookies should be had undisturbed. I still have a few somewhere in that bag if you want to try one. Muggle baking, it's not half bad."
How long? "I dunno but she had it since before I started going here which makes me look even worse." She leaned her back against the wall by the window and shut her eyes to block some of the light. This was shaping up to be a relaxing ride. No disruptions no one she wanted to see either but she'd get over it and no suddenly stopping and portkey prob--
She opened an eye lazily and looked to the door at the sound of that voice. The moment Lottie hopped up and blushing started happening her other eye rushed open too. She pulled herself into a straight sitting position to get a better look at the boy that wasn't even looking at her. Did she not exist? Was she suddenly not sitting there? Rude. Just very Ruuuuude.
And what's this? Did they mind if he joined? UM. YES! She DID mind actually but she supposed that didn't matter seeing as, from his perspective she probably wasn't even there. Silly her, thinking that statement might have had anything to do with her opinion. Oh merlin, no. The look Lottie gave her was seen and she wanted to shoot her a very determined NO but then the girl looked back at him? No waiting for a response either??? What had this all suddenly become????
She noted Felix, flicking his tail back at fourth as if there was a form of static running through it, but for now that was his only reaction to their guests. "I don't know Lottie. Is he okay with becoming a hexing experiment?" They did say they'd practice spells on anyone who wanted to join. Nevermind the conditions she'd placed on that rule.
So when Lotus got up his smile widened... He was so happy to have caught up to her and would have remained lost in her eyes had she not asked a question... and averted her attention.
Garrick followed her gaze and caught Lex giving a rather... rude look at Lotus' questioning whether he could join them. SIGHS. He was interrupting them. Or Lex was merely very RUDE. He was going for the latter.
No matter the case he looked rather downcast and nodded as Lotus asked whether the cat was his or not. " He is. But excuse me... I will leave you two alone."
And YES he had caught the part about hexing. His only indication was the abrupt chuckle, though. He was likely far more talented at hexing AND blocking than the younger girl who was too loud and RUDE. But he was raised to be a little gentleman, so nothing was said to the contrary.
Giving an apologetic nod to Lotus he stepped back from the compartment door and melted back into the crowd of screaming Hogwartians... he would find an empty compartment to occupy unless Benjamin found him.
