That's when she noticed behind Ethan's mom a small girl. She seemed to be alone and not doing to well. Looking around she didn't see any possible adult with her. Rubbing at a sore spot on her ankle where the dope had stepped on her Bay tried to resist the urge to cry. She hated crying. She always looked like a baby when she cried and she REFUSED to look like a baby on her first day. No sir! Not happening!
A polite hello had the brunette looking up into the face of a much older girl. Is she talking to me? Bay looked behind her to make sure that there was no one there and when she was sure there wasn't Bay focused back in on the girl talking to her. Taking a deep breath the 11 year old straightened up and managed a weak smile.
"I'm Bay, nice to meet you Minerva." The older girl was on her level now so Bay didn't have to strain her neck looking up. Her first question still stood unanswered. Might as well get used to people asking.
"I'm always alone." She muttered.
