Sierra had eyed that memory book from afar for at least the last fifteen minutes. She guessed she could write something in it, but...what? Outside of the Slytherin Quidditch team, she hadn't exactly befriended that many people. She wasn't even sure she knew most of other's names. Who would she address her entry to--'Hey, you?'

...but nevertheless, she kept eying the book. If anything, the legacy alone was enough motivation to get up and start moving toward the book. It was her pride in the end that made her want to leave her mark somewhere.

Soon enough, she found herself at the book, looking down at an empty page. She dipped the quill in ink and began to write.

Dear Hogwarts,

Let it be known on this date, that Sierra Hope Greingoth was a honored graduate at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I would like this entry and my name inside of it to serve as a reminder of that. I was a very proud Slytherin student and a house prefect for the last three years of my school career. I was also a very, very honored member of the house Quidditch team.

Here's a few words I'd like to leave you with. You can take them or leave them.

To the Slytherin Quidditch team - We're true winners, and you don't need me to tell you that. We're winners for being sorted into the house of Slytherin and for playing Quidditch for the house team. We don't need a cup to remind us of that, despite how rewarding it would be to have one serve as reminder to the school as a whole. Play hard and play to win. Don't worry about how many people you have to leave in the dust along the way. Always aim high and keep your mind set on the thought of victory. Don't settle for anything less, because you were born to great.

To Slytherin house, the only house I would have accepted from the sorting hat - Always keep in mind what it means to be Slytherin. We're winners. We're ambitious, and we aim for the top and don't stop until we get there. We may not have won the house cup or Quidditch cup this year, but the way I see it, the fight isn't over yet. Next school year, remember who beat you this time and do what you can to always stay a step ahead of them. They're Hufflepuffs. Their luck can't possibly last that long. I guess I should at least thank you for being my family for the last seven years. I couldn't imagine myself being surrounded with a better group of people, but maybe that's just because there is no one better.

To my mother, Professor Hecate Lafay - When I came here seven years ago, little did I know that the woman I would grow to call Mom was sitting right up there at that staff table. You came into my life when I needed you the most, and you took me in as your own flesh and blood. One entry in a school memory book can't even begin to have enough room for me to explain how much you mean to me, but you already know how I feel about you. You're not only my mom, but you're also my best friend. I look forward to making a lifetime of more memories with you. Blood is thicker than water, Mom, but love is thicker than blood. I love you.

To all of Hogwarts, it's been one awesome ride. Truth to be told, I'll miss you.
