Wowza! What on Earth was Grimmauld Place? If Ezra had a dime for every time he heard someone in class sprout out something that sounded nonsensical and probably totally made up, he'd be rich enough to buy that Quidditch store in Diagon Alley.
Speaking of which. "Maybe it works like Diagon Alley." He moved a little bit away from Edita, because he was embarrassed on her behalf, though thankful because it'd been her instead of him. It made him feel bad, though, because maybe that meant he was a terrible friend.
He scooted closer to her again. "Y'know how you've got to tap your wand in just the right spot of that wall behind the Leaky to get in? Well, maybe you've got to the same with the canvas, too. Just poke it in the right place with your wand, and taa-daa!"
Ezra Carver was an expert at poking thing with his wand, really, considering it was what he mostly did with his. No one had ever warned him that spell-casting would be so difficult.
