Alex heard the call for all attendees to make their way to their seating area, as the candidates made their way up on the grand stage. She was new to attending these sorts of functions, but her sister had informed her about the ~~insanity of the~~ Hogwarts Auction and Hogsmeade Debate, so she knew a little of what to expect. At least, on the bright side, there was good food and drinks if the candidates proved to be boring.

Browsing the buffet table, the brunette piled some chips and salsa onto her plate before taking a seat near the front of the seating section (but in back of the chairs). She looked around for familiar faces, as she took notice of Ella and gave her a subtle smile and wave, before turning and fixing her gaze upon the current speaker.
