Sierra began the process of cracking each of her doxy eggs. As she cracked each one, she stirred once in a counter-clockwise direction. When she'd added all of them into the cauldron--five, she counted--, she put on her gloves. Taking the gems of sulphur, she crumpled them into the milk with her hands.

With that done, Sierra took a few moments to measure out the armadillo bile. She also began stirring the brew clockwise, quite vigorously, just as her mom had instructed. Finally, she spooned in the four cups of flobberworm mucus using her wooden spoon.
...and then the younger girl was saying something again. This was the one Sierra had noticed not cleaning her cauldron. Sierra glanced at her mother, but luckily for the girl, her mother hadn't noticed yet. Flicking her wand toward the girl's cauldron, Sierra said,
"Evanesco!" The milk disappeared, leaving an empty cauldron.
"Like I said, you need to clean your cauldron, so that any dust or dirt you can't see doesn't mix with your ingredients. You clean it using a simple spell." She flicked her wand toward the cauldron again.
"Scourgify!" The leftover milk dried away, leaving a clean cauldron.
"So now you can pour the milk in. Go and get some more from the supply closet, and then follow the directions from the professor. Let me know if you need any help."
