Honestly, Kendall didn't particularly even want to know what the noxious potion was supposed to do. She was in the class because she'd promised people that she was going to stick with the subject, and she'd determined even before Professor Lafay had started this lesson that there wasn't a risk of her turning into a zombie anymore. That didn’t make her any less nervous about the lesson, especially knowing now that they were learning a potion whose very name meant something unpleasant. She didn’t particularly want to brew a potion that smelled bad, or made somebody smell bad, and she definitely didn’t feel like passing out in the middle of class. Therefore, for now she was determined to keep her attention on the discussion, taking notes while technically not really listening to what was being said. Not focusing on that was what was going to get her through the lesson, and she could do more once they actually began brewing.

Besides, she knew better than to just offer up a random guess, and she really had no idea about what the potion was, or did, or what color it was supposed to be. Especially not when the professor had started things off by saying she was feeling well and wasn’t against discipline of her own device if they made her angry. She wasn’t going to do anything that could come close to angering her, just in case, and she hoped that nothing was going to happen after the incident that had started the lesson. At least she could remind herself that it was possible that the potion wasn’t meant to kill them. Once again, she wasn’t entirely sure that the professor was perfectly willing to if so inclined, and therefore, she was going to do everything she was told.
