Maybe they'd buy something in the auction. If Nia wanted something Finn was very up for buying it for her. He was nice like that. He knew how to treat his girl. Perhaps he could get her a little present. Might be hard without her really noticing though.
"Of course. My specs look the best." Because he really suited glasses so much. At least they'd taken the little glass bits out because he probably wouldn't have been able to see at all. That would not be good for Finn at all. Because he'd probably fall over. "Oooh?" She'd brought him a prop? That was cool. He took it from her, examining it. Ahh. It was the sonic screwdriver. That was so cool. He liked it. "So...I can sonic things now?" Because that would just make his costume look totally the best ever. "Aren't you just perfect..." He smiled, tugging her a little closer so he could press a kiss to her cheek.
Oh. Trust Nia to say that. Finn laughed, shaking her head at her. "I meant people." Because he too knew quite a lot of the characters that were in here. He shrugged at what she said next. "I'm not too sure..."
Whilst Finn put is his cheque down, Nia looked back fondly at the two books she'd placed on the table. They were new copies - not her personal ones with notes in from her studies that sat in her overstuffed bookshelves at home - but they still brought back memories of her time at Hogwarts. Maybe she should have written a note in the front or something? Or was that too cheesy?
She soon forgot the thought though, as Finn distracted her with his glasses. She couldn't help but grin. They definitely suited him, and Nia had her very own Doctor. Result! She pushed her sunglasses on to her head to see him better, before squeezing his hand once more. "Something like that..." she said with a giggle. It'd make the sound of the sonic, as least. A sleight of wand might be required for the rest. And then he kissed her, and she couldn't help but blush. Was it the location? Or the compliment? Or the fact they was in public?
Either way, Nia had a rosy glow to her cheeks, and she looked up at Finn with a smile. "You're not too bad yourself..." she said with a wink.
Nia looked around the room again, and was about to point out who she thought was probably Treyen when she heard her name being called.
SPOILER!!: Mariel!

Shaking off the slight apprehension, the brunette stepped into the library dressed as one of her favorite childhood literary figures, Mary Poppins.
Not willing to spare any of her own books, Mariel deposited the galleons at the table and took a cursory glance around the room. Quite a few people there already.. and she wasn't really surprised to not see anyone that she recognized.. though she had sort of hoped deep down that one of her old school friends might have made an appearance. She spotted her nephew and his girlfriend, and gave them a nod and smile as she walked past, looking for someone her own age to mingle with. They had their own friends anyway.
The young woman started to walk into the auction area when her green eyes landed on a head of blonde hair that was all at once very familiar. Was it..? Yes, she thought, as she slowly grinned. She'd recognize that shock of blonde anywhere. "Nia?" she called to the other woman as she slightly pulled up on her swishy skirt to rush over to her. "Nia Newtington! Is that really you?"
It had better not be the Press - because surely at a Hogwarts' auction there were more exciting stories to follow than two Pro Quidditch players turning up to support their old school library...regardless of what they'd chosen to wear.
As she turned round, however, a wide smile soon spread across Nia's face. Despite the costume, Nia would recognise that face anywhere, even after all those years. They'd spent enough time together at school, afterall. "Mariel!" she exclaimed, grinning and reaching out for a hug. "You look great...how're you?"
Oh...she should do introductions, right?
"Mariel, this is Finn...my boyfriend, and Finn, this is Mariel, fellow Ravenclaw Chaser, sparring partner, and one of my best mates at school."
Soo...news?
