She'd love that story as a child but finding the costume had been nearly impossible!
Giving them 5 galleons she flashed them a smile before turning her attention to the table where she was to check in.
Lucas had at the last minute decided to go to the fundraiser for the Hogwarts library and thus the available costumes had grown quite thin. Buying an elven prince costume complete with the pointy ears the same day as the fundraiser the blond young man of 19 years old was set. Decked out in his costume and with the pointy ears put Lucas made the trip to Hogwarts.

Entering the check in area Lucas gave them the 5 galleons entry fee and added a slightly dog eared copy of 'Alice in Wonderland' to the book pile. Seeing Willow just ahead looking pretty in a Maid Marian dress Lucas called out "Willow, wait up!" It would be nice to have company for the auction.

Now it was time to take care of the others' donations.

She might not have been happy that she'd been talked into wearing a ridiculous costume --- really, who wore pants to an event like this --- but at least other people were dressing up too. For now, she would just grin and bear all the leather and aviator gear. As long as the cameras were around, anyway.
Standing by the Headmistress in his musketeer costume Leo was all big smiles and excitement as the guests started to arrive and donate both books and galleons to the library. Registering the donations Leo said to the Headmistress when there was a little lull in the line of people arriving to pay and donate. "You look very stunning tonight Annie." Leo commented. If it was one thing his boss knew it was how to dress to impress.

"I hope plenty of people will turn up and spend money in the auction." He stated quietly as he saw more people enter the room.

Alright, alright, it was first a movie, but they had written a book later, everyone knew that. Ahem. Besides, many people said he looked a lot like that character, so why not?
He placed a copy of Magical Moral Perspective, An Appraisal of Magical Education in Europe and Achievements in Charming on the desk before proceeding to get himself a name tag. Yes, three books. One could never have enough of those!
Man, he sounded like a Ravenclaw... it was true, though.

Sophie came in with a veeeery looooooooooooooooooooong hairdue. She had succesfully made her hair grow a heck of a lot and braided it not so neatly - how could she, with all that hair?? Yep, she was Rapunzel! A brunette version of her, because she was never going to dye her hair blonde again!
"Uncle Seth!!" She exclaimed happily when she spotted her uncle dropping off three books. GASP! "Can I have this one???" She said already grabbing the one about Charms.

He was not even done writing on his name tag and smiled warmly at the sound of his niece's voice. "No, Sophie, not this on-" Seth widened his eyes as soon as he turned around to look at her. "What happened to you??" Oh... let him guess... Rapunzel? That was one of her favourite characters after all.
Awww... But well, if he was donating to the Library, she would be able to read it whenever it was available. So it was all good! She secretly hoped no one would ever read it so she could borrow it all the time.
"I'm Rapunzel!!" The Hufflepuff beamed at her uncle, trying to move around but her head was a bit heavy. Maybe she could try a spell to make it lighter. Ohh, cool! She could do that!
When her uncle was done with his name tag, Sophie put the book back on the table and dropped 8 sickles there. She gave her uncle a sheepish smile and shrugged. She knew how much both him and her father wanted her to like reading as much as they did, but they both had to accept it wasn't a fact.
Aaaaaaanyway! There was Oakey! The badger headed his way after getting her name tag and waved back at the older man.

Seth chuckled and rolled his eyes as Sophie walked away. He turned around and looked at all the people there, already spotting a few BoG candidates here and there.
Hm... this was going to be good.

Leo was about to ask Annie a query he had about the auction when two people arrived together, the girl striking him as familiar. She was probably a student at the school. "Good evening. Thank you for your generous book donations." Leo said to the man as he registered all three books on his long parchment. At the girl in the Rapunzel costume Leo gave a little wink. "All the books will be available for borrowing soon enough." Who didn't like new books?

Sliding her wand out from the inner sleeve of her new dress, Ivy pointed it towards her purse. "Accio textbooks," she muttered and about 30-40 Spagyrics Textbooks came swiftly flying out of her purse and landed on the table in a neat stack with all the other books. There. Now her part was done. She slipped her wand back into her sleeve, clasped her purse, and made her way into the rest of the library towards a very handsome man in a very fancy suit.

But of course, by the time she found Erik, he was already talking to a different woman... and offering her his arm. Well, that would simply not do. Ivy WATCHED them, she did. Oh yes...

The next person to arrive at the Media Table was a woman in an eye-striking dress. Leo’s eyes widened with gratitude and amazement as about 40 textbook’s landed in front of him on the table. "Thank you very, very much for your more than generous book donation, Miss?" Leo was just stunned. Was she a BoG candidate or just someone with a big generous heart?

It was very difficult for her to come up with a favorite book character to dress up as. Very difficult. She almost dressed in an abstract representation of The Raven, from Poe's poem, but then thought better of the cliche' "favorite". Instead, she decided to dress as Green from one of her favorites, Green Angel. It was a short book, one that got raised eyebrows when she would proclaim it as a favorite. No one had seemed to ever hear of it. Oh well. Just meant that she'd be standing out in the crowd today. Especially with dark, ash eyeshadow and paled cheeks. All part of the costume, of course. Anyone who knew Kanna knew she was a woman of little... deviances from the norm.

The clothes she was wearing were mostly not her own, so the only thing that might let someone be able to pick her out was her koolaid-red, dyed hair, which she had not changed for the occasion. Her money was stowed away inside an inner pocket of the vest. Thank Merlin for undetectable extension charms, because Kanna was carrying more money with her today than she probably ever had.

She laid down a copy of The Art of Zen Gardening: A Herbologist's Guide on the table to get her in and took a badge, scribbling down "Kanna" on it, seeing as "KANNALYNNE BASTHOWE" probably wouldn't fit. After glancing about quickly, she moved over to the auction table, very curious to see what there was to offer.

"Good evening. Thank you for your book donation. I hope you'll enjoy the auction." Leo said to the woman dressed up in a green angel dress for the night. The student’s hoping to excel in Herbology classes would definitely borrow the book.

They sure knew how to make a Library a great place to hold a fundraising celebration.
And today she was here on behalf of the Daily Prophet. The prophet journalist gossip columnist was proud to be representing her job today. Grabbing a paddle she made way over to the table to make herself a nametag.
Taking a book out of her purse she placed it on the counter. It was of course a copy of a great and terrible danger. She then grabbed a paddle, number nine and walked over to the bidding area.

"Good evening. Thank you for your book donation. I hope you’ll enjoy the auction." Leo said as he registered yet another book on his growing list of book donations. The woman looked somewhat familiar but he couldn’t place her. Maybe she was a prophet writer or something?

"Yer lookin very nice," he said, somewhat butchering the whole pirate accent and slipping into something that only remotely resembled a Scottish accent. "Alice Through the Looking Glass be one o' me favorite stories from childhood."
Airey then followed Sierra's gaze towards Pebbles and proudly presented her towards the girl. "This be Tinkerbell, well, not really. This be Pebbles, me pet rock and she be pleased t' meet you." See? She was even sort of bouncing in his hand.

The next person to come up and donate was none other than the new Astronomy professor Airey Flamsteed. Leo had so far only spoken briefly with the man since they didn’t sit near each other at mealtimes and the occasional conversation in the staff room. "Good evening Airey." Leo greeted with a polite nod. "Thank you for your book donations.".

A lot.
Finally moving from where he stood, Kennedy followed Johnathan...who was where a Captain America costume. Merlin. Kennedy had been in a fit of laughter when he'd seen him for the first time in that suit. His brother would never change, heh. Kennedy walked toward the table, got a nametag, wrote the letter "K" on it, and stuck it on his shirt. Then he went ahead and dropped off one of his favorite books, Warm Bodies and donated five Galleons. He'd do anything to help the place that wasn't only his school, but home when he didn't have one.
"Come on, the auction's starting, Captain America with a goatee." he said, smirking at John, his eyes scanning the crowd for a certain someone...

Xavier followed the boys. He was excited to be here. It's been YEARS since he's set foot in this castle. He didn't only just pride himself of his marvelous professional Quidditch career with the Falmouth Falcons, but that he was here with his son (step-son, really) Johnathan, his godson Kennedy and with his BEAUTIFUL baby girl, Peyton.
Aww, look at her, she was pouting. Xavier chuckled and patted her head. "Turn that frown upside down, sweetheart, this'll be fun." Of course it would. He was about to bid on stuff. One thing about the Baltazar's; they love spending money.
Xavier gave his eight Galleons and set Interview with the Vampire down. He was in a great mood so, he was donating both. *cue dazzling smile*

Oh. Merlin.
Could this day get any WORSE?!
Peyton walked in after the three boys, her arms crossed on her chest. Did Kennedy HAVE to come? Did her father HAVE recognize her? She wasn't embarrassed of her father, Merlin, no. But he could be...meeeeehh...sometimes. And Kennedy. She didn't like him. He was stupid.
Now, she WAS happy her brother was here. HE was the coolest one. Come on, Captain America. COOL! That wasn't the point, though, and she need to get away. "Dad. I'm not a little girl anymore," she whispered, eyeing the people around. "Oooh! Look! I found a friend, see you later!" She didn't see anyone, but she needed to get away. She left the Red Riding Hood and skipped of somewhere.
See yah, wouldn't want to be yah!

The next people to arrive for the fundraiser were a group of people that were a little loud for Leo’s taste but they seemed excited and more importantly eager to donate and help with restoring the library. "Good evening, thank you all for your donations. Enjoy the auction." He chirped happily.

Sky followed her goddaughter into the library..She remembered the school even though she had only been there once...But once was all she had needed to remember it. The library was even better than the first time she had seen it. She added her books onto the table and gave her donation of fifty galleons to the person. Took a name tag and wrote her name and stuck it onto her costume her goddaughter made her wear.

Raelynn walked in with a couple books in her hands. She had originally been Rapunzel but after she changed what her sister did..She was a low key version... She had taken out the braid and changed dresses...The dress was much simple now. She handed the books and gave fifty galleons to the person. She quickly wrote her name onto one of the name tags.

It seemed it was group arrival time since a group of females of varying ages arrived to make notable money contributions of over 100 galleons together. "Thank you so much for your very generous money donations." Leo quickly mouthed out before the women left to head on over to the auction.
