Okay, sooo...time to try this again. Sierra wasn't exactly anxious to do this. After all, the first time she tried it, the hammer pounded down so hard that she nearly flipped backwards with it. So yeah, Thor's hammer just wasn't her thing.

...and then a thought suddenly occurred to her. "Professor?" she asked, raising her hand. "Could this same theory be applied to a Beater's bat in Quidditch?" The wheels were steadily turning in her head. She was imagining all the things she could do with a bat magicked with an Uruz rune. Heh.

While she waited for an answer, she tried picking up the hammer again. She first grabbed it and the wand with both hands, and then she began that silly chant again. "uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.." She tugged a bit on the hammer. "uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.." She tugged a little more. Before long, she could feel the hammer rising with the pull of her hands. "uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.." She kept pulling and chanting, not giving up until she knew the time was right. Pretty soon, the hammer glowed, and she realized she'd pulled it up to the height she needed in order to pound down on the metal box.
