It if weren't for the fact that the hammer wasn't particularly friendly when it came to feet she might have kicked the bloody thing again. She shot it a glare instead. "You know, bad things happen to hammers like you. How hard is it to simply cooperate?" No answer? Even ruuuder! She would try this again. Perhaps the hammer was hard of hearing.

When nothing happened she chanted a bit louder.

The runes had begun to glow and she could feel the hammer being a little less difficult. She was so excited that she just kept on chanting, getting a bit louder each time.

EEEEEEEeeeeeppp! It was working!!! Soon she managed to get the hammer up and in fact she was holding it over her head because she was THAT strong. Yup.

Lex instinctively let go of the hammer when the weight suddenly increased again...well actually when her strength suddenly decreased. Meh, whichever. Her eyes widened at seeing that it had landed on the box she was supposed to be aiming for.
