Herbology seemed to be going real fast and Ellura was trying her best to keep up with what was going on. It wasn't like she was lost in the subject since she remembered a bit about ecosystems from a muggle science class, but she was still trying to get the hang of things. And her classmates seemed to have a better grip of the situation and knowledge than she had.

At the latest question however, she thought she might have had a chance to answer. It was up for opinion and interpretation so many people could offer up suggestions which was already happening as students up. Herbology was about plants...and plants were pivotal to ecosystems...so yeah. Finally Ellura raised her hand once she thought she had the right words. "Because its important to understand anything and everything that could effect the plants you're handling. That way you can make sure the ecosystem is suitable as it is or needs to be supplimented in some way such as fertilizer or extra watering"

You wouldn't want a plant to die because you weren't mindful of what could harm them.
