Alistaire Firth entered the Great Hall looking distinctly windswept. Those boats go faster than I remember. Running his hands through his hair, he attempted to right the flyaway strands. It wouldn't do to not look put-together at his first opening feast. Especially with the Board candidates here. Especially when I have to sit next to Truebridge. He still felt nervous around her.

Where was everyone? "Evenin' Headmistress," he said cordially, inclining his head to her. Then he sank down into his chair, arranging his kilt and straightening his jacket. It was time for the Sorting, no? Then the best part: the food!
