Walking quietly in her leather boots down the opposite aisle of tables than she usually did, she moved around the table until she stood behind the chair that a particular librarian would be sitting in soon.

She placed the wrapped package down on the plate there.

"Good evening, Headmistress." Medea greeted on her way to her seat, smiling towards the Arithmancy professor once she sat down. Looks like someone will be surrounded by the living this time. "Hello, Josephina. Have a nice summer?"
Josephina stopped fiddling with her bracelet as she felt more of her colleagues filing in near her. For once was her side of the table actually more filled than the other side? That may have been a first!

Taking a quiet sip from her water goblet, she gave a friendly smile to the Defense Professor. "Evening, Medea. My summer was . . . relaxing, actually. Spent some much needed time with family." Reported on her nephew's outstanding abilities on the quidditch pitch too, but she didn't add that. It wasn't like Medea wasn't around last term that she didn't know of his skills. "How about you? You have a nice summer?"

Medea, Fina," she greeted, noticing that she was at the lonely side of the table... for the time being.
"Enjoyed your summers?" she asked, perching herself on her seat and pouring a glass of water.
"Evening Seren," Fina greeted back, before too many others filed into their seats in between them. "Yes, I did. You?"

Callie walked dreamily through the house tables stopping to wave at a few students on her way, her bangles jingling madly as she did so. Finally when she made her way closer to the Staff dial, she stopped short to look at the extra table infront of it. Those were Governors and board candidates, important people she didn't want to mess with. She politely nodded at them and then, more reservedly, walked to her seat, sandals smacking the flagstones as she went.

She passed behind the Arithmancy's Professor's chair on the way to her own. "Evening Fina, did you have a nice summer?" She quickly hoped that the woman would have some people to sit between this feast. She then saw Medea and quickly joined her. "Hey stranger." She giggled as she sqeezed the brunette's arm. It wasn't like they had just spent the entire summer together or anything.
And there was one more to add to the chairs that were between herself and Seren; no doubt in the next five minutes, more chairs would be filled between herself and the Herbology Professor. "Evening Calista," the Arithmancy professor smiled back at the blond. "I did, I did. How about yourself? You know, we really ought to reserve some more time to get to know each other." They're subjects were both divining based, even if hers was more concrete in her mind. But also, she felt like she never spent enough time with her colleagues except during meals.

Satisfied that his pets were good for the feast with toys, food, scratching poles and the works Leo headed down to the Great Hall.

Clad in dark red robes he entered through the big oak doors noting that a few of his colleagues had already found their seats on the dais. Leo took his time to pass by the house tables waving to some students and stopping to say hello to others.

When he made it up to the staff dais several minutes later he greeted his colleagues with big smiles. "Good evening Mrs Truebridge, Fina, Callie, Medea and Seren! I hope everyone enjoyed their breaks?"

Pulling off the wrapping paper around the package Leo looked down at a thick book by Patrick Levander called '100.5 tips on how you secure your home and workplace.' In fine print at the bottom it read. 'We can’t guarantee that all tips will have desired effect.' As much as he wanted to start reading the book right then and there, he couldn’t. Gingerly handling the book between his hands he looked right to catch Medea’s eye. "Thank you so much for the book Medea."he beamed happily.
"Good evening, Leo!" Fina called back to the librarian, giving him a brief smile. She then caught sight of him unwrapping a package and curiosity got the best of her as she peered down the table. But before she could see what it was (not that she'd have been able to see the title anyway from the distance), she heard him shout a note of thanks to Medea. Looking toward Medea, she curiously asked, "so what book did you get him?" If it was 100 Fail-Safe ways to Charm Witches, she would have laughed right there.

It was quite a bizarre feeling, Erin decided, as she glided through the Great Hall with her head held high and moved with purpose toward the Staff Table. The return to Hogwarts was quite unexpected; she - and the rest of the Wizarding World, it seemed - never thought Vindictus would leave his position, nor did she ever think she would get this kind of opportunity.

And it was a big deal.

She certainly appeared more confident than she felt, she knew, but first impressions were everything, were they not? Both the students and professors would surely draw their first conclusions about the new Quidditch Official on her appearance. So, naturally, she had tried to dress as casually proper as she could - proper enough to earn respect, yet... she hoped that the smile that crept up to her eyes was a tremendous indicator of kindness behind her current attire.

When Erin neared the Staff Table, she tried not to hurry her pace or seem too eager to slide into the seat next to the Headmistress; regardless, her excitement was irrefutable. When she pulled out her chair enough to take her seat, her demeanor softened; Erin offered a small "excuse me" to the unknown woman on her right side as she softly brushed against her chair to sit down.

There. She was situated and on time.

Then, a broad smile spread across her face. "It's a pleasure to see you again, as always, A-... Headmistress." That was what she was supposed to call her, right? Was she allowed to use nicknames? Was that improper? She assumed so and continued, "I see that your superb eye for fashion has not faltered one bit over the years." She offered a nodding gesture down to the black polka-dotted dress and began to pour herself a cup of water as she spoke, "Classy, elegant, and chic. Perfectly balanced - excellent choice." She envied the woman, really; there was no way Erin could have worn a dress like that anymore. They were the same age, yet the woman sitting before her had aged much gentler than she had.

Lucky.
Another to sit between herself and the Herbology Professor, but this one ... was new ... and yet oddly familiar. Finding herself staring a good moment or two, she finally pulled her hazel eyes away and forced her gaze toward her badgers a moment to think. Taking another sip of water, she glanced back. Vindictus' chair, which meant the man was truly gone. Which meant this woman was his replacement. This woman who seemed SO familiar. And if she had gone to one quidditch game during her Hogwarts years she would have known instantly, but alas not the case.

Closing her eyes, she tried to think back to her house common room. Yes, her sitting doing her homework .... back in her third year ... OH! OH! This girl - woman - and her boss, they were seventh year chasers! She remembered vaguely them coming in after a practice or something one night. BUT what was her name? She had no idea; she was only 14 after all, when the woman graduated.

And she should really stop staring and thinking so much. Shaking her head, she gave the woman a smile. "Josephina Hadley, Arithmancy Professor. You were a Hufflepuff Chaser, weren't you?" Because just to make sure her recollection wasn't completely fail.

Not only was she actually attending the feast, but by the looks of it, it seemed like she had arrived right on time. She could even been considered early! There were only a handful of staff members at the staff table so far, and the sound of all the students chatting was not yet deafening. The table that was set up for the Board of Governor Candidates seemed to missing a few members, too. It was definitely going to snow.

Head tilted back some, so that she could look at the enchanted ceiling for any hints of snow, Vanora slowly made her way up to the staff table, doing her best to dodge anyone whose way she was in. Not that she could actually see if she was in anyone's way, but she did manage to make it to her seat without even touching anyone or anything, so she must have been doing something right.

She plopped herself right down onto her chair and put on a grin, just in case anyone was looking at her before going back to ceiling staring.

How many times would the word summer be said before Truebridge gave her speech?
And there was the first to sit ... closest to her. Well technically, if prior years were the norm, the woman was sort of sitting next to her, since there was only one chair between them. "Evening, Vanora. Welcome back." She said, giving the Magical Creatures Professor a friendly smile as she took notice of the fact that she was still surrounded by empty seats. Had a Runes and Astronomy professor not been found? Not that she would have been surprised if that were the case; she was quite acclimated to the extra elbow room lately.

It seemed to bend on its own with time, but not when he willed it not to. He took a second to glance at his co-staffers, a smile starting to brighten his face. They were so… lively.

He fixed his favorite pocket hanky and moved, not hurriedly, toward the loooooong table. Merlin, how was he supposed to greet and introduce himself to all those? He should've applied more ointment on his knees. You know... so they didn't squeak or jam. "Good evening fellows," An extra beaming toward Ethan's wife, she was bright and pretty as always. Not too red or pinkish today, that was incredibly relieving to his eyes. "Hello headmistress." Aww, see what he did there? Annie was all grown up in black and headmistress-y. He had to try that word, he should get used to it actually. His eyes then met the others, all young ladies... oh and a young man faaaar from where Ab stood. His eyes lingered long on the young man's face, they could be mates in this big women's solidarity.

Ab switched the cane to his other hand and went to sit at the end of the table, the closest end to him. That was his place if his memory served him right.
Just as she had those thoughts though on the extra elbow room, as if her thoughts were echoed in the Hall, another colleague joined the ranks at the table. This one took the seat at the end. An older gentleman, probably old enough to be her father .... or grandfather if her father started young. The Runes Professor, no doubt, unless of course he was senile and forgot where he was supposed to sit. BUT she was KIND and was going to give him the benefit of the doubt. Plus she liked the idea of actually sitting next to a live human again.

"Evening, sir," Josephina smiled broadly at him. "I trust you're the new Runes Professor? I'm Josephina Hadley, Arithmancy Professor."
