Unless they had belonged to the zombies themselves, as he imagined those were being confiscated once said zombies ended up here in quarantine even though reports were that they weren't working correctly for them anyhow. That would have been a complication.
He had barely noticed Simon standing on guard in the viewing area when they had entered, and then his attention had gone back to his companion as she had spoken yet again. The first comment had gotten a nod, and then the sympathy set in yet again at her follow-up thought. "We'll figure out how to keep Isobel from eating wood. I'm certain that Wes is just as determined on doing that as everyoneelse is, if not more. I would guess these have been under the affliction longer, anyhow," he replied, gazing at the mirror again as she had asked about it. "Unfortunately, I don't know," he answered, frowning slightly before she had noticed Simon as well and his attention moved to the YATI.
"Bennett," he greeted the young man with a nod. "Have you met Natasha? Isobel's sister and a fellow Ministry employee." He turned to Natasha, then. At least this could be a slight distraction as they waited for the mirror to be fully activated. Not to mention it meant there was one more MLE employee there, so that made them even safer, whether or not Simon was there to guard de Talone or the quarantined employees. But then, the distraction proved to be unnecessary as the next thing that happened had forced him to step back half a step. Having probably the last person they wanted in the small room collide with him, but he managed to avoid pulling Natasha off balance as well before his grey eyes shifted to Roxanne.
"Are you alright?," he asked, simply out of concern as she had continued rubbing her head, indicating that he hadn't been the only thing she had collided with. There was no reason not to have professional concern for a fellow employee, even if she had been shooting metaphorical daggers at him what seemed like only minutes before. Quote:

And technically its Simon." While members of the department tended to call and respond to their last names, he wasn't one to use it as his own introduction. Before he could say anything further or Dorian and Natasha could responded the trio was joined by another coming from the quarantine room...someone he did recognize as a co-worker as she bumped into the division head. The YATI unable to keep from inwardly wincing in concern as she reacted and hit her head yet Dorian was already asking if she was okay. Quote:

Roxanne asked, not even bothering to injecting venom into her voice, still not quite able to tell who exactly she'd run into. If it was just her than she was definitely not okay. And why did the person who'd asked the question sound like the intercom box at a fast food place, mumbly and buzzy and faded? "Why do you sound like you're speaking through an intercom?" And she couldn't tell, but her own voice was coming out kind of mushmouthy. Okay, she was most definitely not okay. Not even close. And if she didn't sit down soon, her legs were going to give out on her. Stupid wall. Why did it have to be RIGHT THERE and SO HARD? Didn't it realize that people WALK through here? Tasha shrugged. "That's odd. Maybe they chewed up their own wands?" she suggested as a plausible explanation. But she honestly had no idea and it was Dorian’s job to investigate weirdness not hers. She hadn’t exactly been aware of the fact that she had grabbed his hand rather than locking arm’s with him on the little walk over from the reception area. Tasha had been too focused to trying to grasp all the information about her sister’s current condition and then those zombies infected people had showed up in front of her and had eaten wood and just for lack of better word acted strangely. Glancing sideways at Dorian she felt a little reassured and blinked. "Good, because Isobel won’t be very pleased to hear when she’s been cured that she chewed up her wand and has to order a new one from Ollivander’s." Sighing Tasha eyed the dark mirror once more. "I just want to see Isobel before I go and pick up the twins." Was it too much to ask?
Glad for the distraction Tasha focused her attention on the Yati. "I'm pleased to meet you too Simon." She chirped with a smile. She didn’t have time to say or ask anything else before the last person she expected to see collided with Dorian. Roxanne looked unwell. Re-gaining her balance after almost being knocked by Dorian, Tasha studied the other woman “Are you feeling all right Roxanne?" taking a step towards the other woman she tried to catch her eye. "What’s an intercom and why does it sound like we are talking through one?" she asked cocking her head sideways? Had Roxanne knocked her head or gotten the flu and that was why she was saying strange things?
