Nodding, Emily dragged the papers toward her. "Of course..." withdrawing her own slimline self-inking quill from her pocket.
"Do you know how they're going with the zombie case?..." she hadn't been following it's progress much, beyond paper pushing she was barely involved in that one.

She watched as the woman signed the custody form, making certain that all proper blanks were filled out. It would be her head if the forms were not filled correctly. Any little thing the defense could grab at to claim negligence and potentially get the case tossed out happened often, and she knew it would happen with such a big case such as this one. That's why everything was by the book.
"Just collecting and gathering samples from the food court and running it against the controls. And collecting DNA samples from the infected. We're just mainly trying to pinpoint how this all got started."
Melissa waved hello and nodded to Emily. "
Hello Emily. I believe we met at the Staff Orientation....or rather I should say we ate at the same table. Just ignore me. I'm here to help Esme with the collecting of samples." Melissa told Emily.
'
Auror huh? O_o no wonder she didn't get infected. The bugs must have seen her and run the other way.' Melissa thought to herself. Being married to an Auror and having a son who was training to be one, she knew how serious they took their jobs. '
I'd better try to stay out of her way while she's on the job...and not eating.' Melissa made a note to herself.
