So she tried to dry her eyes when the head girl asked. Every now and again, her eyes would leak a couple of tears, but the third year would wipe them away as soon as they fell.
"Are you gonna go to a university?" She asked, purposely avoiding looking up at the seventh year because she knew if she did more tears would start up. "Because I think you should go to a university..... but one where you can come visit me in Hogsmeade." Even if she had to apparate to get there...
As for the letters, Lily's personal opinion was that there would be a ton of letters all the time. And with the idea of hanging out in the summer, the third year definitely wanted to do that whenever Benjy and her parents would allow it. "Will you take me shopping for next year's supplies over the summer?" Yep, true Ravenclaw at heart always thinking of her next exam or chance to study.
Lily didn't want Louisa to ever leave, but knew that eventually she would need to, so as her older claw friend was looking around at the other people in the great hall, the little redhead slipped out from next to the head girl and scooted out of the great hall quickly so that she could go get something, leaving only her best quill sitting on the bench beside Louisa.
See Louisa was bad at this, Lily was still stifling her sobs in and her voice quivered and eyes still were so moist and cute and this girl is supposed to be happy and high on candy. Like that gummy worms hufflepuff girl, or Demon Alice. So Louisa did the only thing she knew, she just kept her arm around Lily's shoulders and tried to lighten the atmosphere some more. "
Nah, no universities yet. But guess what? I'm going to look for a job, probably in Diagon Alley so we don't even have to wait until your school weekend!"
Yeah? That was fun and worth a happy face! Yes? No? Okay, maybe not so much. "
I sure will try my best, dear." Although there was a tiiiiiiny problem. "
However, you need to know that I'll probably be moving out to my own place soon and will try to apply to a good job and then start looking at college applications so.." Wow that sounded so busy. She didn't even think about the energy and time she was going to spend on this independence. Huh.
"
Anyways, tell me. How did you like this year? Pretty cool huh?" She forced a smile at the younger redhead and anticipated her answer.

"Surely you wanted it to be a memorable one though?" he said, tilting his head thoughtfully. The camping out thing had been fun - with the ceiling in the Great Hall, it was like sleeping out under the stars, without having to battle the English elements - namely rain. "...and y'know, this IS Hogwarts. I mean, adventure is just common place in these halls." Whether it be playing Hide and Seek with the statues of armor, or tickling Sir Bartholomew Henry, or...trying to find an entity with a killer plant who sucked the house ghosts into a brooch. Something like that, anyway.
"It was a good year too, right?" he asked, more gently. He couldn't really tell from her expression. "With the epic Winter Wonderland...and the Kitty Palace...and playing with firecrabs..." Maybe his present to her would her bring a little cheer? He wasn't sure that it was just the leaving bit getting his co-Prefect down. He'd worked with her long enough now too recognise that much.
He was reaching for the pot with Louisa's plant in it, when Max plonked himself down. "Hey Max," Spike said with his usual crooked grin, though noted that the older boy's gaze had settled on the Head Girl. Was Spike missing something here? Did the seventh years have some kind of plot going on? Spike pushed his glasses up his nose, the slightest wrinkle of a frown between his eyes as he glanced between them.
Hmm.
Spike ran his tongue lightly round his lips, before dropping his hand back to the table. "I, er, got you both a little something, nothing much, but..." Was now really a good time? He couldn't tell.
Awkward.
Memorable. Louisa scoff!chuckled at this, "
Oh yeah, very memorable. I was more worried I wouldn't get time to sleep in my dorm one last time... which doesn't really matter anymore." She added, a bit bitterly and returned to her spoon playing. Was it so much to ask to have one last perfect night in the dorms? Darn Hogwarts and its complicated students. Hmph.
Oh. Right. Spike still had his happy adventurous thoughts about Hogwarts, well LUCKY KID. Because Louisa was just cranky and got crankier when she saw Vickers walk from the Gryffindor table toward... Vivi. Interesting. She stared at them, her brow furrowing just a bit. "
Yeah. It is a very eventful year on all levels I must say." Some of Spike's words were zoned out for a second and by the time she focused back on him he was talking about something to give her.
"
Aw Spike you didn't have to!" Louisa's face expressions changed by the warmth feeling from this kind gesture. She let go of the spoon and was about to extend her arm to pat her co-prefect's arm. But Max joined them then and sat down and was doing this annoying thing when he would look into her face and show he knew she was upset and was feeling sorry for her and her eye twitched and...
sigh. It was very wrong to be mean to the boy when he was nothing but supportive toward Louisa since the start of this term but she couldn't help but wear that poker face when she answered him. "
Tired. And sleepy. I want to go to bed and get this over with." Shrug.
.... "
How are you ? We did it, huh?" Because she felt guilty. She wanted to smile at him but her mouth only managed a twitch.
Louisa glanced at the other two Ravenclaws again sitting away from them and wondered if it was very suspicious that they were separated like this. Spike was smart enough to see something was fishy around here and Max apparently already knew something. Probably more than Louisa already knows because technically she knows
nothing. Inclining her head at the far away Ravenclaws she asked softly, "
Does it look like a friendly talk to you guys?" She
was paranoid, trying to interpret body language and not jump to conclusions. No one was talking to her about it and she knew Karma was out to get her because of a certain head boy and red head so yeah, she did have reasons to be worried.
Vivi and Vickers looked very...
good shootshootshoot! sitting and talking though. Alone. Peaceful. Though awkward.
But it wasn't really a big deal. It was just that Louisa was told Vivi wanted to stop talking to them but.... maybe they were sorting things out. It didn't always have to involve her. Even if Vivi made her feel that it
did involve her. Ugghhhh so frustrating just thinking about this!
The soon-to-be former Head Girl sighed and looked back at Spike, forcing her attention back on him. "
It's the perfect time actually. I'm sure it's something impressive. What do you got?" She folded her hands together and feigned a big grin. Yep, distraction please!
