"Don't touch this brooch again, girly. You'll regret it." The former Ravenclaw wrinkled her nose at them and again dropped it in the circle of ghosts. She then poofed through the ceiling.

Sierra was still in semi-shock over the sudden change of events, when Myrtle swooped back down and snatched the brooch out of Kurumi's hands. This must be one serious brooch. The Headmistress was after it, Myrtle was after it, and now some Isfret was after it, too.

Sierra was about to make some comment about how it was just a brooch, and they could all probably buy one somewhere else, when Myrtle poofed through the ceiling, leaving the brooch amongst the circle of ghosts. Okayyy. Maybe it wasn't just a brooch, which sort of made Sierra want that tiny piece of jewelry, as well.

The cackling grows louder and louder as the light dulls until someone, or something is taken over by laughter.

"HAHAHAHA!"

Then all of a sudden, the laughing stops, and the room is silent. Underneath the vapour that starts to fade the tendril slips away.

...and when said brooch started rocking slightly, and a silver vapor filled the room, Sierra jumped behind Kurumi and watched the scene unfold from by peeking out from behind the girl's shoulders. Whoever said the Slytherins were the brave ones anyway? She at least withdrew her wand from its holster and held it at the ready. "A light green color," she observed. "Great. Why's it always somebody from our house?"

...but then things started getting SERIOUS. SER-I-OUSSSS. Sierra blinked as all four ghosts were sucked into the brooch.

... ... ... Sierra cleared her throat and stepped out from behind Kurumi. "Well then," she said, not sure what else to say at the moment. "There goes plan A."

Kurumi felt a sudden chill as the ghost went right through her body, causing the Gryffindor to squeak with surprise and to lose track of the broach.

Wait...how was Myrtle able to hold it?! Kurumi's eyes widened as she saw the broach drop to the floor again, her violet gaze flickering towards the ghost again. What made this broach, the Headmistress' broach, so special that she could pick it up and hold it and drop it and do all things with a solid object that ghosts shouldn't be able to?!

But before she could voice this, ask about the broach that is, Kurumi caught some movement out of the corner of her eye.

And then her attention was back on the broach as it began to glow and her eyes widened. Her hand dove into her pocket for her wand which she retrieved right away and held it out in a defense stance just as she noticed vapor covering the floor. It went without saying that the others should have their wands out as well.

"What is that?!" she gasped, staring at it and wondering if she should start putting up Shield Charms and other defensive precautions.

Yeah, thanks ghosts for not giving them ANY information on any of this. Bloody brilliant.

And then there was a laugh and Kurumi raised her wand even more, eyes focusing on the glowing green object. "Can that broach be destroyed?" Hey, it had worked with the orb last term.

...........only those that could answer that question were now...GONE!!! This was getting ridiculous. "We NEED to inform the professors and the Headmistress...and just to be safe no one touch the broach with your skin." If at all.

"I think," Sierra said, her wand still drawn, "that that was Isfret. The prankster of all pranksters. The one who..." She sighed. "...doesn't exactly enjoy the same type of pranks Peeves does." Great. Now it was up to them to find him again, figure out a way to stop him, and...well, pretty much save the day.

Where were all those superheroes from Muggle Studies when you needed them?

Wait...not all...

Oh Merlin were they in trouble.

"Dylan, Nessie might have a point...about wandering alone..." she said, taking a step towards the broach and resisting the urge to poke it with her toe. Looking down at it, she glanced at the other student leaders briefly before casting a Patronus Charm and sending a silvery hedgehog out of the Spirit Room and off to find the Headmistress.

"Guys...I hate to say it...but we might need Moaning Myrtle," she said, chewing on her lower lip. "The barrier to get in here is still up and we got in because of an invitation from the House Ghosts." And they all knew where they were now. "She is the only ghost left...unless we want to count Peeves." But he was a poltergeist and those who had been in Professor Scabior's lesson knew how those were different from ghosts.

"Myrtle?!" Sierra asked. Why did they need her?! "She doesn't exactly seem all that willing to be on Team Hogwarts anymore." Sierra frowned. The last thing she wanted to do was make someone...or something...feel like she needed them. Blahh. She'd take one for the team, though.

"Isfret..." she muttered after Sierra, her face breaking into a deep confused frown. Who the hell was that?

Before she could say anything about this, Myrtle swoooooooped into the room shrieking-- or wait, no, screaming happily at them 'losers' and whatnot. That girl was crazy... who had a brooch! Cuddles and Viola pressed themselves against her like never before. Why were they freaking out more and more by the minute? Louisa didn't even have time to react as Myrtle snatched the brooch back from Kurumi and dropped it again where the ghosts were gathered. Viola bit into Louisa's sock and started tugging. "Ow, not now.." the Ravenclaw wiggled her foot trying to get rid of the annoying cat, Cuddles in her arms was meowing from the pressure Louisa's arms were applying unintentionally.

The captains were saying stuff about getting the headmistress and then smoking started to fill the room making Cuddles squirm and give out a couple of tiny screeches seconds before all the ghosts were gone.

Everything stopped then.

The vapor, the hysterical laughing, the ghosts... everything was gone.

And Louisa's cats went silent too.

"Ummm... guys?" Her eyes bulged out of her head just a bit as she stared down at Viola by her feet, who had let go of the sock and was eying the brooch. "I think..." GULP. GULP. GULP. "M-my cats freaked out a moment ago. Now they're... just normal." Anyone seeing the connection too? Good. Now they were sure it was that tricky Isfret.

Louisa shut up completely when Patronuses were brought up. Hers wasn't so corporeal yet and nobody in this room needed to know that. Fortunately the Gryffindor Prefect sent out her own to the headmistress. Now they had to... uhh... destroy the brooch? Louisa didn't like the sound of this. She took a few steps closer to the brooch, noticing that Viola didn't follow but stayed rooted to her spot. The Ravenclaw tilted her head at it. "We do need Myrtle, she said Isfret entrusted her with it. She must know a thing or two." How were they supposed to get her back? "Do you think we should try luring her back in or some could go after her?" Not sure where she could be though, but the bathrooms were always her favorite spot.

Ooooor they could just wait her waiting for the headmistress.. which was lame and unproductive to Louisa.

Again, Sierra sighed. "You're right," she said, looking at the brooch with disgust. "We do need Myrtle." She was not about to go around patronizing the ghost, though. She'd so with a THREAT! Do this, or else, Myrtle! Ehh. Who was she kidding?

"Okay, so...we'll find Myrtle, and then, what then? She doesn't want to help us, so we have to pretty much convince her to be on our side, or either trick her into telling us the truth," she pointed out. "So who's the best one to do that?" Both ideas--convince her to join their team or either trick her into telling the truth.
