"Don't know what caused it. Don't know what will end it. That sounds like we're settling in for the long haul here, doesn't it?" She fell over ungracefully to sprawl out on the sleeping bag beside Max. He could shove her off if he wanted to, but she wasn't going to keep crouching while they chatted.
"If we're here for a while, we need to figure out ways to make it more cozy. The high ceilings in here make it drafty and creeptastic at night." Hmmm. He eyes drifted to the night sky over their heads. "Oh, no - I'm okay, Vivi," Max gestured to his mug he had set down while straightening his few belongings. He picked it up and took a sip to punctuate his statement. He listened to her speak with raised eyebrows; she wasn't very optimistic tonight, was she? "Maybe not," was all he could offer, taking another sip of his hot chocolate as he curiously observed her falling onto the sleeping bag dramatically.
Hmm. That was a good point. "Yeah - don't wanna wake up in the middle of the night shivering, especially the young ones. It'd be awful if people got colds 'cause of the draftiness." Or even just if people couldn't fall asleep because of the temperature - the whole Great Hall would be chaos with everyone awake all night. "What do you propose?" Text Cut: Vindy Quote:

Well, it tasted good and made the troubles seem to fade for a few minutes at least. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a couple of Honeduke's chocolate bars. "Care for a chocolate?" he asked to those who were around him.
...Oh. He heard him. "Erm," Max said in reply, his eyebrows raised again. "Insight on... what the future holds? Are we going to be here awhile? Do we have a plan?" By 'we,' he mostly meant the professors. No one had really announced anything yet, but... hey, chocolate?! "Absolutely. Thanks." Max nodded at Vivi as she shared a chocolate bar with him, gave her a 'thank you,' and bit off an end. Text Cut: More Vivi Quote:

If that's the case, we might want to make it a bit more comfortable... get pajamas for people who were locked out without things. Toothbrushes too. And maybe we can make sheet-tents so it feels more like an adventure and less like we're homeless and freezing in a big creepy Great Hall."
Just suggestions, but she was on a roll. And happened to be someone with her pajamas locked up in the dormitory. Text Cut: More Vindy Quote:

Max nibbled on his half of the chocolate bar while Vivi and their Head of House discussed possible ways to make this event more fun and less of a hassle. He found himself smiling at his yearmate's ideas. What would they do without her?
...A tent? Made from... sleeping bags? Did Vindictus really think that was a good idea? Max gave Vivi a glance of apprehension before pretending to be busy with the sleeve of his shirt. She could decide if that was a good idea or not.
But he would most definitely help share the wealth of sugar. "Count me in on that, too," he said, standing up to take some of the chocolates to hand out.
And if there were extra, he was definitely going to save that for later. Or... give it to Emmaleigh, if the Hufflepuff Head wasn't as cool as the Ravenclaw one(which was likely).
