Just as he opened his mouth to comment on how the headmistress may handle the situation, Max got splashed with fallen snow from their head of house's clothes. "Thanks, professor." Max raised a hand to wave sarcastically at the man's back. He turned back to Vivi to add, "Maybe Professor Vindictus will have some insight."

Or not.

He was making sad faces about the hot chocolate, and Vivi had yet to sip her cup. She frowned thoughtfully before handing hers over to Max. Probably needed it more than she did. Plus the sad faces just got to her.

"Don't know what caused it. Don't know what will end it. That sounds like we're settling in for the long haul here, doesn't it?" She fell over ungracefully to sprawl out on the sleeping bag beside Max. He could shove her off if he wanted to, but she wasn't going to keep crouching while they chatted.

"If we're here for a while, we need to figure out ways to make it more cozy. The high ceilings in here make it drafty and creeptastic at night." Hmmm. He eyes drifted to the night sky over their heads.
