What good magic was if they couldn't be safe in their own beds?
Spike nodded, and gave the second year a gentle hug of reassurance. "You didn't see what threw you out then?" he asked, just to confirm. Peeves might be thrown them out of bed, but not all the way from the tower to the entrance. Hmm. This was most odd.

"I've never know this to happen," Spike said. "But stranger things have happened at Hogwarts." He bit his lip. "It's probably the castle playing a practical joke, and we'll be back in there in no time." He offered her a smile, and gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "We'll keep you happy and safe, don't you worry." And Spike meant it. He'd do anything to ensure the Ravenclaws were okay.

She paced back to Spike and saw him give his jacket to the younger girl, how could anyone be hard on this boy was beyond Louisa. Aaanyways, he summed everything they had to do pretty well, the seventh year nodded in agreement.

"Okay. First the blankets and then one of us can go alert professor Vindictus." Who in turn should alert the headmistress. So at least one of the prefects could stay with the locked out students. She hurried to her backpack and took out her wand for some blanket conjuring... or jacket duplicating.

Louisa was about to wave her wand when the faces of the students caught her attention again. She paused, and then pulled Spike gently to the side. "Hey, shouldn't we... like... tell them it's going to be alright? And what we have to do? They're kids." She whispered, her eyes not leaving the crowd of students. Also he should be the one giving the pep talk, because Louisa was not good with sentimental and assuring words.
"It is most odd," Spike agreed with Louisa, as she went to check out the knocker. Spike admittedly hadn't bothered, because if everyone else couldn't get in, he wasn't likely to either - even if he was a Prefect.

He nodded, and pulled out his wand. He wasn't sure about conjuring blankets from thin air given his weakness in charms and transfiguration, but he could duplicate things well enough. If Louisa did the first blanket, then with a bit of teamwork they would soon have enough for all the 'Claws. He was about to mention that fact to the Head Girl, when she pulled him to one side.

She was right. Of the two students that had already come to him, one was freezing and the other scared. They did need to reassure them. "How about...we give them a fun distraction?" he said thoughtfully. "You mentioned camping earlier - why not set up a sort of camp fire here? We can send someone down to the kitchen for hot chocolate and cookies, snuggle under blankets and have a house sing-song until we find out what's happening."

Camping out was always fun, right?
