✿ Plant Details - Lavandule angustifolia also known as Lavender. Lavender is a shrubish type of plant. Its leaves vary and have tiny hairs it seems on them. Its flowers are pinkish purple.
✿ Common Uses - The flowers and leaves are used as a herbal medicine. In the form of lavender oil or as a herbal tea. The flowers can be used as a culinary herb. Both the
✿ Personal Use - My mom put it in my tea to make it sweeter when we were out of sugar.
✿ The lavender had a unique taste to it...It wasn't bitter. It had this flowery taste to it. I enjoyed it and usually have it on cold days when I can now.

✿ Common Uses - Garlic is often used in cooking as a seasoning or condiment. ~~Garlic is claimed to help prevent heart disease!~~
✿ Personal Use - The ~~chefs~~ house elfs used garlic on the garlic bread I head when I had spaghetti!
✿ I love garlic it is a seasoning my mom and I use a lot when we are cooking. I love the taste of it but if you use to much it creates a salty taste. In my opinion the garlic bread was just right not salty and not to buttery!

✿ Plant Details - I used the herb Peppermint today. Peppermint has smoot almso square-like wide stems with dark green leaves that are fuzzy to the touch, when it blooms it has purpleish flowers.
✿ Common Uses -
Peppermint is used in medicine, it is also used in tea, for flavoring ice cream, it is also found in chewing gum and toothpaste. Peppermint can also be found in some shampoos, soaps and skin care products. Peppermint is commonly used to soothe or treat various symptoms like nausea and vomiting. It is also used in aroma therapy.
✿ Personal Use - I put a sprig of peppermint in my hot chocolate today and also gave my sickly sister some peppermint tea to make her feel better.
✿ The sprig of peppermint added a minty taste to the normal sweet tasting drink. After my sister drank the tea it made her feelings of nausea go away for a bit.

✿ Plant Details - Aloe Vera is the herb I used today. Aloe vera has no stem and is very short. The leaves are thick and fleshy. The leaves are pokey and green or greenish-grey. The plant kinda reminds me of a short stubby cactus.
✿ Common Uses - Aloe Vera is used in a lot of medical items, like in dietary supplements and it is also used in dental care.
✿ Personal Use - While I was in Hogsmeade I got a sunburn, it hurt really bad I remembered that my mum always applied Aloe Vera to burns so that is what I did.
✿ The gel was very cold and sticky! It made my sunburn stop hurting for a while.
