Maxwell smiled a little. "You don't have to pretend it's not awkward...i mean don't get me wrong i was really angry for a few years, but she meant well. My dad wasn't exactly the father type then and she was just looking out for me...she just did the wrong thing..." He said knowing she still didn't know the kind of childhood he had, not the time or place now.
"I never took you for a goodie-goodie..." He said finding it odd she wanted to follow the rules. Then he heard her slip up. "Before your father what?" He asked concerned, he wasn't going to push if she denied him the knowledge.
