The practical stuff on the other hand was exciting and it was probably the excitement that completely tired him out the next day. That morning, the twelve year old had got up especially early because he heard something in the Lake which he could see from the common room and so he had gone to investigate.
Suddenly, to his surprise, a girl turned the corner and seemed to have received the same surprise that he had. The boy chuckled at her reaction. "Don't worry. I can be quite scary" he growled and then erupted in a fit of giggles. The Blonde boy was probably one of the least intimidating people, he always wore a bright smile on his face and encouraged others to be happier.
He shook his head at the question though, his eyes hadn't exactly been glued on the floor searching for a brooch. "Nope, but I haven't really been looking. Why? Have you lost it?" he enquired, although he had been sure that he'd overheard a house elf talking about it. Maybe one of the Professors had lost it? "I can help you look for it if you want?" He asked with a nod.
"I'm Terry!"
Ella raised her eyebrows at the boy as he growled at her. She didn't expect that one. When he burst into laughter, she did the same. Heh. This boy was funny!
"EEP! You sure are scary." Grin.
"I can be scary too, y'know." Just in case he was wondering.
"RAWR!" See? SO scary. Giggle.
"Oh no, not me. I had heard that the Headmistress misplaced it." And Ella being the badger detective she was, couldn't pass up the chance to try and find it.
"Yeah, that'd be quite nice." And Ells could use all the help she could get, truthfully.
"I'm pretty sure all the house elves are searching for it but I just figured I'd try and help too."
Terry, eh? That was a nice name.
"Hi Terry, I'm Ella." And the third year extended her hand to the boy, a small smile on her face.
"It's nice to meet you."
