Wandering around the kitchen a bit and trying not to disturb any of the elves, Penelope eventually wound up back near the entrance, stopping at a fruit bowl that sat on one of the counters. Well, this would do, she supposed. Picking up an apple, she took a couple bites out of it before she heard someone else enter the kitchen too.

Glancing over at them, she didn't instantly recognize who it was, since their face was mostly hidden by the hood on their sweatshirt. But that didn't matter. They were here in the kitchen like her, and they probably wanted something to eat too.

After swallowing the last bite she took, she asked, "You want an apple too?" She was willing to share the fruit after all.
