Because she really did miss the department so much. Isobel seemed to zone out a little now. It was sort of like she was thinking back to her times in law enforcement, but she looked like she was staring straight through Wesley.

Almost as suddenly as she zoned off, she was back, and back on topic. "And us women are complicated." She mused with a smirk as she looked up at him. Thea was complicated, but she loved the woman so she usually would put up with it. "Poor Thea...our kid will be a nightmare." If they were anything like their father.
