Laura smiled at Minerva. "I'm glad your okay." Laura really wanted to know what was wrong with her friend though she was worried about her. "Minerva, why weren't you on the train with the rest of us?" Laura had been wondering that. "And why didn't I know you weren't coming with the rest of us, I though we were good friends, I was sad when I couldn't find you there." Laura sighed.
Laura looked at her friend. "Well as people always say, nothing can stay the same forever, it's like us, we have to grow up and take responsibility for our actions." Laura was hoping her friend would understand what she was saying. "I'm a third year now and in a couple of years I will be doing my OWL's exam." Laura sighed, she couldn't believe how fast time was going around here.
Laura looked at Minerva, she hadn't been that bad, had she, okay so she had been having fun her first two years at Hogwarts but now she was growing older she had to get down to the serious stuff and that was actually learning loads in time for her owls. "I'm still the same Laura you have known for the past couple of years though." Laura sighed, she still didn't get why people where staring at her all the time.
Minerva closed her book and looked at Laura, she felt horrible. Someone else that was confused and missed her. She didn't think people would notice she had been gone to be honest. Yes she knew Harvey, Ella, Max, Ari, Damon, and Taylor would, but other then them she really didn't think to many people would. "Oh Laura I'm sorry. No one really knew that I had left. My cousin and I got into it and she gave custody over to my muggle grandparents back in America." Minerva looked down, "I wasn't allowed to take any of my magical things with me, not my broom, books, not even my wand." she gave a small smile, "Thought I took my wand when she wasn't paying attention. I wasn't suppose to come back here either. I was expect to live just as a muggle once I was given to them, but I talked to my grandparents and they gave me permission to come back once they knew the truth."
Minerva then shrugged, "Yeah I guess your right, nothing stays the same, just after the summer I had I was hoping for something the same, but I get back and find that Max has decided we are broken up and had dated our best friend and now flirting with another girl right in front of me." she frowned, "Then my other friends seem to all have changed in some way as well." She then looked at Laura and smiled, "I know your still the same in some ways, but it's just different seeing you study and make classes a priority when the last few terms decorating the kitchen and playing some fun tricks was more the priority is all." She looked down at her book not feeling like reading anymore.
