Alexa beamed at being called clever; take that sorting hat, someone thought she was clever! Hah!
The real joy came when she said she would teach her to block spells. "Neat! Will you teach me how to hex too? I have a few people on my list that I really want to get to before Christmas." And one way or another, she woooouuuld get them. See? Now that was all the Squirt really needed. She just needed someone to take her in hand and teach her some... huhwhazzat? Vivi paused in her circling and turned slowly to face Lex, her eyebrows once again climbing into her hairline.
"I'm not really sure we're on the page here. In fact, we might be in opposite libraries. I'm offering to teach you to defend yourself, and you want me to teach you to throw hexes?"
