Yes, they haven't been close since they started Hogwarts; but that didn't mean that she didn't care or anything. They just weren't as close as they used to be at the moment. At least they were talking to each other unlike last year.

Taken back slightly but the way that Laura was acting, Lana crossed her arms over her chest. "You are neither stupid or ugly! Why would you even think something ludicrous like that?" She had a feeling where this was coming from, but she wanted Laura to tell her herself what was going on. "I want to know why you are acting like this," she demanded. "And don't lie to me. I promised mummy and daddy that we would look out for each other and I will not be made a liar!"
