She skipped over, wanting to get a better look and ran into the girl she had seen at the feast. "Oh hey it's you!"
"When will we get to play in the playground? I've been walking for a while now and I haven't run into it. Is it much further from here or did I somehow manage to walk right by it." She wasn't exactly the most aware kid and she could ignore just about anything when she wasn't directly looking for it.
Ameliah was suddenly right by Lex.
"Hey," she said gloomily, splashing a little water in her toes.
"I dunno what happened to the Playground. It was here last year. The duck pond's gone too." The Claw sniffed sadly.
"So at what point were we talking about before the feast was done?" Ameliah wanted to get her mind off Quackles, and she remembered she and Lex were in the middle of discussing someone before the Prefects whisked them all off to separate common rooms.
