Aspen didn't greet the Professor for a few reasons.

1. Aspen never greeted any Professors. Ever.
2. Aspen didn't talk to strangers.
3. Aspen was the visitor in this classroom, shouldn't she be greeted first?
4. Aspen had reason to not open her mouth yet.

So... Aspen eyed the Professor, shrugged at the directions, and got whatever bottle of soda was nearest then went to sit with her brother.

Then she set out to do the card thing.
