... like him JUST noticing she was a girl. What was with everyone today insulting her very curvy figure!?!?!!! First the president of Governors and now the curly-head fraud. It must be the tight hair bun she had on the back of her head. With cheeks flushing, from both annoyance and embarrassment (because this boy in less than one minute knew what Louisa exactly... wanted), she walked closer trying to feel all intimidating and stuff, " When I want advice about my personal dating life, I'll make sure to come to you." Sarcasm was her middle name and probably the whole school knew that by now. " But now we--"
The eternal enemy wasn't backing down, it seemed, because the next thing Louisa knew was that Oakey challenged the curly head to a duel. A DUEL! Oh no, not again! Not on her first day and with guests and new headmistress around! Vickers beat her to them though, she felt her frowny face change and her cheeks flush slightly once more when he was all manly and peacemaker-like by moving closer to the boys to prevent a fight and... recite the rule.
Well, he was all macho like for a quick moment, right? Good enough!
" Like rule book said here," she clasped Vickers' back gently and addressed Oakey, " No duels. No fights. No mouthing off." Only she was allowed to do that, obviously, " Not even hexing-from-under-the-table. Simple explanation: it's my first day as Head Girl and I don't want it to be ruined." Whether they see that as selfish or illogical or silly, it was the truth. " Instead, Oakey, why don't you rant? Come on... just tell us what he did to deserve this very brave un-Hufflepuff-ish dare from you? Because he's getting a lecture in a minute." And he should rant quickly, because Louisa was a biiiiit impatient. Quote:

It was then Louisa who responded to, what Elijah believed to be, the AWESOME date idea and she basically just shot poor Vickers down, albeit in a subtle way. "Well, it wasn't really your personal dating life that was my concern anyway, Louisa. Why won't you go out with Vee? He's a good looking guy and smart. You could use a man like him," Elijah grinned, patting his best friend on the back. "If I was a chick I totally would. You don't want to pass off this stud, Louisa. Truuusttt me." If modeling failed, perhaps sales of some kind would be a profession Elijah could see himself in.
And then there he was. Come to ruin Elijah's life once more. Surely the Huffer could have accepted his removal from their verbal war as some kind of unexpected forfeit? But, no. He wanted to continue blabberrrrinnggg on at him. When the young boy challenged him to a duel, Elijah couldn't help but snort. He'd been too busy laughing to himself to respond straight away, which had given Vickers and Louisa the opportunity to inform Oakey of all the borrrringgg rules.
"Yeah, what they said, chump. Besides, I can't trust that you won't cheat like you did last time and I'm a sixth year now. I can't be playing with little boys who don't know when to shut their trap."
Elijah decided to completely ignore Louisa's invite to Oakey to get his rant on and instead demanded, "Why did you drag me all the way over here again? A lecture? About WHAT!? Classes aren't until tomorrow, Louisa! Not all of us are 'Claws and like to torture ourselves with like... learning and stuff!"
Maybe it was best Vickers didn't go on a date with her. Elijah didn't know if he could cope with hanging around such a studious, man-handling female. Quote:

Hadley wouldn't be to pleased to hear two of her Puffers wanted to duel each other to settle a year old dispute.
He took a step back as Dodo Face gave him the answer that he didn't want to hear. "I'm not little anymore! I practically reach your nose!". Oakey had half a mind to just flip his wand out and hex Elijah back Hogsmeade Platform. The other half listened to Louisa. "Well, I was going for one of my wa..."
...Did Elijah just interrupt him mid-rant!
This took Oakey above and beyond action! Instead he skipped right to revenge. The gears in his head began to turn, "I'll tell you later Louisa. That's right Oakey just figured out a way to make Elijah duel him.
He turned around and sat back down at his seat beside Laura who had began to sing, he just closed his eyes and listened to her...headache inducing vocals. At least it was better than than Elijah's baboon screeches.
Vickers could just stand there slackjawed and staring dumbly at Elijah's words. He didnt know if he should feel flattered for building him up or repulsed at the idea of a.) Elijah being a chick and b.) a chick that would date him, considering that this was all spoken in front of Louisa. Elijah was his best bud and all and would gladly brave through the horrors of hell with him, but there are just some things that should be off limits to the imagination....
Speech totally fails him now. As Elijah and Oakey continued to bicker this Ravenclaw gaze rolls up to the enchanted ceiling with its its miserable weather, mouthing out Why? Somebody up there seems to enjoy messing up his life lately...
And suddenly the bickering stopped, and Vickers shifted his gaze to find Oakey taking his seat. "Well.... got that out of our system have we?" He smiles optimistically at their group, but the smile melts away when he sets his gaze back to the Head Girl. Nope, apparently theres still one more thing....
