She'd had to drop off a wet Accio, since it seemed like it hadn't been enough to just make the train break down so they had to take portkeys to Hogsmeade. No, someone had decided it was more fun to create a storm that broke as soon as she'd climbed back out of the carriage, and both her and her cat had gotten drenched along with everyone else. She figured the new headmistress wouldn't want a disgruntled tabby cat at the feast, or her to still have been in her jeans and tshirt that she'd still been wearing when all the chaos had happened, and she'd wanted to make sure her trunk had gotten to the castle anyway. So she'd told Patrick she'd meet him here at the feast, and she didn't expect him to come over to her table.

Not after Mika and the chocolate stalking. She didn't want to make things even easier on her housemate, or make her friend have to suffer more. Especially when he still had her chocolate. She'd just visit with the snakes and get that, along with give him back whatever was left of the bag of chocolate bars she'd stolen before taking the portkey. Even if she felt like she'd stick out in her Ravenclaw robes, which didn't exactly hide the fact she hadn't changed out of her combat boots even if she'd gotten dry clothing on. Plus there was the fact she'd noticed that the pink streaks in her auburn hair had vanished amidst everything else, and she'd stopped at a mirror to concentrate on getting them back before arriving at the feast. Therefore, it was a petite Ravenclaw with pink streaked auburn hair, combat boots, and a half-empty bag of chocolate bars in her hand who had headed over to the domain of the snakes, looking for the shaggy blond head of her friend. And not finding him right off, which made her huff a little. He better not be hiding again.
After the rather eventful arrival to Hogwarts, all Patrick had wanted to do was just settle in with the rest of his housemates so that there'd be no opportunity of a little second year Eagle coming to bother him when he had just wanted to be alone with his thoughts for now; ever since he had arrived at the Hogsmeade platform the worries of what had happened to Kendall had honestly perplexed him. He hadn't worried like that about anyone else before and that seriously confused him, sooner or later he was going to figure it out but it hadn't been entirely important right now since he wouldn't have been able to think clearly when the Great Hall was too loud for him to actually focus on anything but possibly the speech from the new Headmistress. Maybe I'll need to take some time in the next few weeks and just figure it out on my own time because evidently it's not going to happen here when everyone is talking and I'll be expected to have some form of conversation even if I don't entirely want to. His thoughts were making him wonder about actually opening up to people since earlier he had wanted to actually talk to more people but now it seemed as though shutting down again was more of a likely option.

Once he took a seat with the other Slytherins, the notice of someone in Ravenclaw robes peering around the table for some reason had caught his attention since he had only known of two people that had reason to be around the snake table. As they got closer, he couldn't help but grin since the sight of the pink streaks made him figure out exactly who it was that had been wandering around the table. "I presume you're looking for me, unless you want to talk to another Slytherin." he said, then chuckled slightly as he had seen the bag of chocolate that was in her hand; that looked oddly familiar like the one that he hid away in his trunk for emergency situations when he was running low on chocolate.
