Post Emma Watson talks "Harry Potter" fans, new NYT photo, "Perks" NYC TV promo schedule

A new set interview from The Perks of Being a Wallflower with Emma Watson was released by Entertainment Tonight recently, where the actress discussed how grown up Harry Potter fans will be prepared for this more mature role, and some of her college experiences.

On how Potter fans will receive the film:

Emma Watson:
The Harry Potter fanbase, or demographic, has really grown up with these books and these stories and they’re actually a lot older than they were at the beginning. So I think they’re probably ready for this. They’re ready for something that’s a bit darker.

On her character, Sam:

Emma:
Steve [Chobosky, director]describes her as the world’s best flirt. This free spirit. She’s very fun. She loves Rocky Horror, she loves dressing up. She’s generally outgoing but then she also has this very vulnerable, insecure, dark side as well.

A new photo from Emma's shoot for the New York Times T magazine was released online and can be found below; scans of the feature on the actress can be viewed in our galleries.

Emma will be in full motion to promote the release of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, including attending the Toronto and Los Angeles premieres next month, and participating in some talk shows in New York City the next couple of weeks.

Emma is scheduled to appear once again on CBS' Late Show with David Letterman this upcoming Wednesday, September 5, as well as ABC's morning show Live with Kelly on September 13, 2012. Additionally, Emma and the cast of The Perks of Being a Wallflower will be guests on Anderson Cooper's talk show Anderson Live sometime September too, according to the program's website, though has not listed the specific date. We will have all of Emma's interviews as soon as they are online.

Quote:
"Anderson Live" will feature interviews with movie stars from the fall's most anticipated films including Richard Gere and the cast of "Arbitrage," as well as Emma Watson and the cast of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower".
The Perks of Being a Wallflower will be released in limited theatres in the US beginning September 21, 2012.
