Neither looked like the Gryffindor girl, but they didn't seem like Puffs either. That left one to be the Head Girl and one to be the Minister's daughter, and it was evident which was which as soon as the children spoke again.

"Hello," she went with a blanket greeting for both girls, offering neither a handshake just yet. What was the Head Girl wearing, anyway? Pajamas? Ugh. "Ms. Carter, Ms. Greingoth. I am Headmistress Truebridge, and this is.... Board of Governors President Rae-Branxton." Or whatever she wished for them to call her. "Her daughter will also be attending Hogwarts this term."

That wasn't why she was here, of course, but... it was a detail, and took some of the attention off herself.
Cassandra smiled broadly at the Headmistress, a sort of reassuring smile that said she found whatever the woman was doing at the moment to be entirely acceptable and worthwhile. It was such a stressful job, really. She patted the seat beside her to indicate the woman ought to sit while she could.

"That's an enormous mouthful of a title, isn't it? I'm perfectly happy to be called Professor." She wasn't quite sure she wanted Genevieve brought up like that, not when her independent daughter had been so adamant about not wanting special treatment... but she was kidding herself if she didn't realize that transferring in one's seventh year was the epitome of special treatment.

Sierra noted that she didn't get a handshake like Gert did, but who cared about that sort of thing anyway. Were these people somebody's parents? She was just about ready to be content enough to gaze out the window for the rest of the trip when the woman formally introduced herself.

"Headmistress?!" Sierra said, a little more surprised than she planned to be. Clearing her throat, she sat up straighter in her seat. "I mean..." Another throat clearing. "Well, welcome to Hogwarts then. Or, at least our ride there." Her gaze traveled to the other woman. The Board of Governors?! "To you, as well, Miss..." Errr... "Branxton."

So now what? Sierra looked to Gert. Well, go on. Say something.
"Sierra and I have met," Cassandra gave the girl an amused look. Teenagers were little bundles of bad attitudes and it was hard to hold their dispositions against them. They simply couldn't help it. "You attended my philanthropic event over the summer. Your father was one of my special guests."

And the girl had lurked in the corner and sneered at people the whole time. Not... quite the charmer.

Of coooooourse the woman was the new Headmistress, this was the last touch that crowned today Louisa's worst day of the year. The Ravenclaw's eyes went slightly wide as she stumbled on her words, "Oh! Um… hello Mrs. Trueb- I mean Headmistress Truebridge." She even bent down and snatched her cat off the boy's feet. This just was the worst time that her shoe-licking cat was allowed to be free. Thank Merlin her other one was sleeping, who knew what kind of paranormalcy she so suddenly could develop? "And Mrs. President..." she went on with her greeting, a small uncertain smile etching on her face. What were you supposed to call women in leading positions?!

... "That's nice," Louisa replied to what the Headmistress said about Rae-Braxton's daughter before looking at the President of Board Governors, "Is she just starting school?" A cute clueless firstie? Or a stuck-up seventeen years old?
"Genevieve attended Beauxbatons for the past six years," Cassandra tilted her head slightly and took in the uncertain smile on the girl's face. Ms Carter? This girl must be the Ravenclaw Head Girl, so she was a responsible student leader in spite of her unease.

"I'd consider it a special favor if you'd make her feel welcome."
