After leaving his trunk and guitar case in the luggage compartment, Gideon debated where to go next with sachel slung over his shoulder and broom in hand. He finally opted for the prefect's compartment figuring he could at least check who was already around and leave the rest of his belongings there for safe keeping if he eventually decided to wander or later went on patrol. Or look for Selina who was Merlin knew where probably still rambling about her bat. With last June's trip, the prefect was glad Corvin had flown on ahead, not needing to carry his cage or a wandering raven around when there were sure to be cats there once more.

Reaching the prefect's area of the train, the seventh year slid open the door and slipped inside, closing the door behind him. When he turned back, Gideon was taken back not by the fact that he was the only leader around but that there was a woman clearly not a student already there. "Um...hello," he greeted trying to think of how to proceed. She had to be a new professor...right?

No more criminal time nappers?

"I'm Gideon Gert...one of the prefects," he decided to introduce, the boy reminded his badge was still somewhere in his pockets.
