Chace didn't really know Abby's friend Nora, so he couldn't say, but there were definitely some guys and girls out there that liked to lead people on when they shouldn't.
Chace nodded. Reid was a nice guy. "Yeah, he would never do something intentionally to hurt me. Plus I can't really fault him for going after a girl that I once crushed on when I was seven." Chace understood it was crappy to go after a girl your friend was interested in, but with crushes when you were young that was a little bit different. At the comment about being in contact with any of his ex-girlfriends Chace shook his head. "Not really...I mean I would run into them time from time when I was in New York since we went to the same places and hung with the same crowds, but I never have gone out of my way to talk to them. Both my relationships ended pretty humbly for the most part. Well...I did the breaking up but they understood my reasons." Maybe not at first, but eventually they did and then it was just old news. "Honestly my relationships never really got so deep and intimate that it was heart-crushing or ugly. It was just bitter for a little while then we both just kind of forgot." Chace preferred that to messy ones that lingered for a while. He'd consoled friends that had gone through that, and from that he knew it was definitely something that he never wanted. "Do you keep in contact with any of yours?" Chace asked.
Chace kissed Abby back, wrapping his arms around her waist as he did so. As she moved closer Chace hugged her a little tighter. "I know...and I'll open up about it. Well I'll try to anyway," Chace said with a small smile. "Sharing my feelings about those kinds of situations has never really been my forte." To Chace it made him vulnerable and he hated being vulnerable. Chace laughed lightly. "Your kisses will always make me feel better," Chace said as he leaned his forehead against hers.
Chace grinned at her. "Well I assure you if I could blush, I would be blushing all the time too." And it's true. He probably would be. After all the more and more he was with Abby the more and more he was getting the impression that all this was new for Abby too. For some reason it made Chace feel a little less...dorky and stupid for feeling that way. Especially since they were both so similar in personality and mindset.
Chace couldn't help but close his eyes in mild frustration as a small child, obviously a first year, approached them with the same flyer that that weird girl had approached them with earlier. He listened with closed eyes as Abby spoke, letting a bit of air out through his nostrils to try and calm himself. Was this girl seriously now making first years hand out flyers for this stupid bat that she took the time to name? Chace understood it was frustrating to lose stuff but come on. This was getting ridiculous. "Well as we told her before we haven't seen her stupid bat. And sorry kid that she's making you go around and bother people that she's already asked." If it was honestly so important to her that she named it and was making people hand out the same flyers she was handing out, then how did she lose it in the first place? Keep better track of your stuff chick.
"That makes sense. It was just a childhood crush." Although, she still didn't like it when her friends dated the guy she'd crushed on. She knew that she was just a kid at the time and he was a complete jerk anyway but still.. it did make her feel slightly uncomfortable. Anyway.
"So..does Reid have a girlfriend?" Abby asked, curiously. And, she was a little relieved when he said that he wasn't in touch with his ex-girlfriends. Not that she was jealous or anything but she thought it was a little weird to be in touch with ex's.
"That's good. Most of my relationships..they didn't end well..I mean, I usually did the breaking up before things got too serious and well, they didn't really take it well." Abby shrugged.
"So.. no. I prefer not keeping in touch with my ex-boyfriends." It was so different with Chace though. This was probably the first relationship where she actually wanted things to get serious..
"I know talking helps but if you don't want to open up about it, that's fine. I.. well.. I usually never talk about my family problems either but I like talking to you about them.. since you seem to understand me really well." And, talking to him helped her feel a little better too. She'd bottled up all her frustrations for so long that it felt great to finally open up. There was still a lot of things she hadn't told him but she knew she would..sometime.
"Your kisses make feel pretty amazing too." Abby smiled.
"Yeah. Like that makes me feel better." Abby said, rolling her eyes.
"None of the guys I've dated so far have ever made me blush but you.." It was like she was blushing every second. She was going to get used to it though. At least, she hoped. Like Chace said, it wasn't a bad thing, right?
"Do people really name their beater bats?" Abby asked once the kid moved way to disturb someone else.
"I mean, I can't believe someone can be so attached to their bat.." It was kind of disturbing, really. Heh. Anyway. She linked her fingers through his as she looked around the platform.
"I hate how crowded this place is. Can we go somewhere quiet?" There was still time left for them to board the train.
