Because she wanted to make sure that ENGLAND didn't lock her away behind the brick wall without ever letting her back OUT. That's why.
But now she was reassured, and so she let go of the handle of her Louis Vuitton luggage in order to retrieve her compact out of her purse. The blonde neatly reapplied a coat of soft pink lip gloss before popping her lips, closing the mirror, and tossing both the compact and the gloss back in her bag. There, there, Val. No one was STUCK anywhere. No need to worry that pretty little head of hers. This was his final train ride, and unlike previous terms where his Uncle walked with him past the wall and towards the platform,
Vickers now walked alone. His Uncle has returned Stateside and even if the silver-haired man was there, this Ravenclaw didn’t look like he would need help with his things or finding his way around. Taller, broader and with a new found confidence he has earned over the summer, the 17-year old paused for his turn in entering the wall….
Except when he thought it was his turn-- somebody else popped out of it.
He waited patiently for the girl to reorient herself to this side of the magical divide -- or so he thought. Her stopping suddenly lengthened to getting her compact out of her bag and re-applying her make-up. He pressed his lips together patiently-- girls and their rituals. Would they ever believe that they really dont need any of those cosmetics to be truly beautiful?
Apparently not. A multibillion dollar industry proves just that.
He cleared his throat to try to get her attention
“Excuse me Miss….” he said as he raised his hand halfway
“... may I?” pass through the wall he meant.
