Post Matthew Lewis' drama "Wasteland" premiering at Toronto Film Festival, new promo

The Toronto International Film Festival, set to begin September 6, will be hosting the premiere of crime drama Wasteland, starring Harry Potter alum Matthew Lewis and Timothy Spall. The feature will have its premiere screening on Friday, September 7 at Scotiabank 2 theater, with two more screenings during the festival on September 8 and 15, 2012.

Ocean's Eleven meets The Usual Suspects in a bleak city in north England, in this gritty heist thriller about a young Yorkshireman who hooks up with his old mates to embark on a wild — and risky — robbery scheme aimed at the local drug kingpin.
Matt confirmed via his official Twitter that he will be unable to attend the premiere due to rehearsals for his upcoming London stage production of Our Boys. A new interview with BBC Leeds Radio where he discussed his projects can be heard here.

Wasteland also stars Luke Treadaway, Iwan Rheon, Gerard Kearns (first three photographed with Matt above), Vanessa Kirby, Neil Maskell, and is rumoured to be released by the end of the year.

A reminder: also premiering at the Toronto Film Festival are The Perks of Being a Wallflower, with Emma Watson costarring, and Mike Newell's adaptation of Dickens' Great Expectations, with a plethora of Harry Potter actors starring like Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Jessie Cave, Ralph Ineson, and Helena Barlow (Rose Weasley).
