Gideon looked up as Selina broke the silence and interrupted his wandering mind with a tease. "Funny...I do know that," he remarked making a face at her laughter and sticking her tongue out at him. The prefect was almost tempted to pretend to bite at it or kiss and silence her however now and here was not the place for that. Jake was likely still too close for comfort.
Okay so he really needed to relax. Nothing to worry about when being innocent in the matter. Gideon absently followed her gaze as she looked around the foyer, finally looking back at her and managing a weak smile of his own.
"Aye...that might be a good idea," he replied agreeing with her suggestion. There was just too much emotion wrapped up in the simple entryway at the moment, plus her father knew right where to find them. "How about somewhere outside..." Gideon offered. That way they had some privacy but they couldn't be accused of hiding in one of the rooms of the vast house even with the door open as requested by the master of the house. Plus it was a nice summer day anyway so spending it out-of-doors seemed like a nice idea in the long run.
