To say Nigel was nervous about the proposed dinner was an understatement. He honestly hadn't been to another person's house for a meal since the last time he had visited his mentor. The man had for the longest time been one of the few he had felt comfortable enough to be himself around. Valentina had been close as a woman who shared his love for potions but they had only really been friends.

Elinor was the first woman in a long while that was beyond a friend.

Following her directions, he had left his own apartment with time to spare for he didn't want to risk getting lost and being late. Surely that would ruin whatever meal and mood Elinor had planned. Not that Nigel had any clue as to either at the moment. He was dressed in relatively nice clothes of a pair of place dress slacks and a deep green shirt that tended to bring out his eyes. Thankfully both had been clean with not a smudge of his work on them anywhere.

When he he had reached the right door, the potions master took a deep breath to try and ease his nerves. Fidgetting and brushing the leg of his pants, Nigel finally stopped himself and reached his free hand up, knocking on the door. A beautiful potted orchid hidden in the grasp of his other.
