30. Feast

Olivia poured the memory into the pensive. She'd seen this done before; but how was she supposed to hold her head underwater so so long without suffocating? She guessed that was just the way magic worked sometimes. Olivia held her breath then plunged her head into the pensive. Blurred colors swirled and chattering merry voices could be heard. The scene came into focus, Olivia found herself in the middle of a feast. A waiter carrying a tray rushed by and passed through Olivia as if she were a ghost! I can see them; but they can't see me, she thought.
